This evening, we had two calls from concerned members of the public about an Asian male in the park in Studley. He was reportedly sat on the bench for up to 2 hours by himself while on his phone. Following a recent incident involving a child and an unknown male in the same park, the callers were worried this male may have had ill intentions.

The local beat manager attended the park and caught up with this male as he was leaving. The friendly young man had been facetiming his family overseas, provided all his details and freely let the officer see his mobile phone. These calls were well intentioned, and we are happy to respond to such concerns. Thankfully today it was just a chap enjoying the sun. 

We have had no further incidents in the location since the previous public appeal.
