Some road users may have had a shock this evening! Police were called by a member of the public reporting that a van was being driven with a blow out from the A46 near to the M40. Police intercepted this van as it was heading into Henley in Arden. They signalled the van to stop with blue lights and sirens, but the van continued, up the A3400 all the way to Mappleborough Green. The safer neighbourhood team was about to force the van to a stop, when it pulled into an industrial unit. The driver was arrested for failing to stop for a police officer and on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs. He will also be reported for the condition of his vehicle… As a polite reminder, the legal minimum tread depth on your tyres is 1.6mm. |
