This morning local businesses in Atherstone really shone through and showed how well as community this town comes together.

Our CCTV operators received a highly distressing call from a retail member due to a serious medical episode in their premises.

Within less than a minute several members of staff from Tesco , Chalk & Linen , The Leisure Centre ,Atherstone Library, Field View Plastics and The Red Lion Hotel were on site administering first aid and reassuring the distressed caller.

Followed shortly by PSCO Scott & Rygielski carrying our new Defib machine that was kindly donated last week through OurJay Foundation.

Thanks to the quick reaction of all the above business who are members of the Warwickshire Retail Crime Initiative Scheme and our CCTV operators the patient is now being cared for in hospital.

A special big thank to Dave H (member of public )who assisted with the patient all the way through even assisting the ambulance team in carrying all their heavy equipment.
