Dear All,
We are receiving numerous complaints in relation to people coning off the road outside their address to prevent anyone parking outside their property. Can we remind you that this an offence of obstructing the Highway. The definition below.
βOn any public road, placing cones, bins, chairs, or any other object to reserve a parking space counts as obstructing the highway, which is an offence under Section 137 of the Highways Act 1980β
If we continue to to receive such complaints then enforcement will be used.
