Vehicle Crime Alert |

Hello
We have seen an increase in attempted vehicle thefts and thefts, particularly involving Land Rover vehicles, especially Defenders (New style models) and Ford Ranger Pick Ups, although any vehicle can be targeted.
Car Theft Prevention AdviceDon't give thieves an easy opportunity. Simple steps can significantly reduce the risk of your vehicle being stolen:
Always lock your vehicle, even when parked on your driveway or when leaving it unattended for only a short time. Check windows and sunroofs are fully closed.
Keep keys secure and out of sight, away from doors and windows. Thieves may use hooks through letterboxes or exploit keyless entry systems.
If you have a keyless vehicle, store keys in a signal-blocking pouch (Faraday bag) and keep them well away from the vehicle.
Consider additional security such as steering wheel locks, immobilisers, trackers, and CCTV.
Remove valuables from sight and don't leave clues such as sat nav holders, charging cables, or bags in the vehicle.
Park in well-lit, busy areas whenever possible and, at home, use a garage if available.
Please remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
