Council appeals for information following unlicensed event in Warton |

Dear Resident
The police and North Warwickshire Borough Council has been made aware of an event that took place on land off Orton Road, Warton, on Saturday 29 August 2026.
The event was unlicensed and was held without the permission or authorisation of the Council and the police.
The Council is carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the event, including identifying those responsible for organising it.
As part of those enquiries, the Council understands that posters were displayed around the village of Warton promoting the event and stating that a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) had been issued by 'North Warwickshire Council'.
A Temporary Event Notice is used to authorise licensable activities at events and forms an important part of the licensing process. It helps ensure that events are planned and managed appropriately, considering public safety and the potential impact on local communities.
The Council can confirm that no Temporary Event Notice application was received in relation to this event and no notice was issued by the Licensing Team.
The Council is seeking to establish who organised the event and is asking anyone with information that could assist its enquiries to come forward.
Anyone who believes they may be able to assist is asked to contact the Licensing Team by emailing licensing@northwarks.gov.uk or call 01827 715341.
All information received will be treated confidentially. | ||
